Being diagnosed with any form of cancer will always be a difficult time for yourself and your family, but here we aim to provide some straight answers and advice at a time when you may feel confused or out of your depth.
The advice included here is intended to be factual and impartial – obviously every case is different, and you will have to discuss the various treatment options on offer with your specialist, who will be able to give recommendations tailored to you depending on the location and extent of the cancer.
Generally there are three different types of treatment – Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, and Surgery. You may be given any one, or a combination of these treatments. You may also be given the opportunity to participate in a clinical trial, and become involved in research into new cancer medicines.
